A tall, popular everlasting flower that is easy and fun to grow that is a well-branched plant, Sultane mix includes white, bright pink, silvery rose, salmon, yellow, orange, and copper-red colors for fresh-cut or dried flowers. Tips on How to Grow Strawflower –Helichrysum Seeds

SOW INDOORS 6-8 weeks before last frost. 10-20 days to germinate at 70-75º.Do not cover seeds, as light aids in germination. Direct Seed: Sow after last frost, only where summers are very long.

Will do best in full sun with a well-drained soil mix. In the greenhouse, we use a soil mix consisting of 1 part peat moss to 2 parts loam and sand. Plants are well watered and allowed to dry before watering again.

TRANSPLANT only when all danger of frost is gone, 1-2 weeks after last frost 10-12 inches apart, especially where summers are long GARDEN HINTS: Needs average well drained soil and full sun. Use for cut flowers, borders, in back of beds. Harvest when 2-3 layers of petals have opened.
