Pea Seeds

Pisum sativum

We offer the highest quality Pea Seeds from the best breeding and production companies in the industry. One of the nicest things about gardening is getting to know the vegetables you grow. Living in a world where most of our food is frozen or canned we risk losing touch with what food looks like while it is growing. Tender mouthwatering peas fresh from the garden is reason enough to have a Vegetable Garden. Whether grown for green peas, or for edible pods, garden peas are all grown the same way. They should be planted in earliest spring or even in late winter, as soon as soil can be worked. They require a very mellow soil, as the roots are shallow and not especially vigorous. The trick is to get them going early enough to take a crop before late spring weather turns really warm, as heat shuts the plants down. Pick edible podded types frequently, as they are best before the pods become tough.
