Helen Mount-Johnny Jump Up Viola Seeds
Product Description
Viola tricolor
|25 Seeds|
1-2" tricolor flowers in purple, yellow, and white. May reseed. Also known as pansy, Johnny jump-up, and European field pansy. Johnny Jump-Ups will overwinter, or at least self-seed each year. This is the classic form, with flowers with a whiskered face. Terrific plants for edging in the border or woodland, and in containers. Plants benefit from a light trimming in June, to encourage new growth for a fall display. Sometimes these will flower all winter in climates with mild weather.Perennial in zones 4-9. Violas are started indoors in the winter for planting outdoors in the early spring. We have grown Viola tri-color for many years in our gardens, mostly from re-seeding. Helen Mount is small enough that it doesn't interfere with other plants.
