| Tips on How to Grow Black Eyed Susan Vine |
| Bright 1½" flowers consist of five petals with a dark eye. This popular vine will grow to 5 feet with eye catching intense orange color. Sow indoors: 6-8 weeks before last frost in individual pots and keep moist. Germination is 10-15 days at 70-75ºF. GARDEN HINTS: Soak seed overnight for best germination. Black eyed susan vine seed germinates readily when the soil temperature is kept at 72F. It does not appreciate transplanting and does best when sown (one-quarter inch deep) where it is to grow and bloom. If you transplant, do not mess about with the roots but try to keep them from being disturbed in the transplant process. |
