How To Grow Poppies from Seed

DIRECT SOW:

• by scattering seed outdoors after danger of all frost, cover seed with �" soil.
• Use in a designed bed in the background 3-5" apart.
• Germination is 14-21 days at 70�F.

SOW INDOORS:

• Not recommended- as seedlings are difficult to transplant.

GARDEN HINTS:

• Use for mass plantings. Tolerates poor sandy soil with low fertility, heat and drought conditions. Poppies like full sun and are commonly used as a wild-flower.
