Flower Garden - Tips on Growing Daisy-Dahlberg From Seeds
Considered to be a short lived perennial usually grown as an annual. Mounding growth up to 1 Ft. high, 1� Ft. wide. Divided, threadlike leaves make dark green Bushy plant with aromatic ferny foliage. A multitude of small bright yellow daisy flowers on a 12" tall plant. Not particular about soil type, but must have good drainage. Heat-loving plant native to Texas to Florida. Use for mass display or pockets of color. In warm winter areas, can be planted in fall for winter-to-spring bloom.
SOW INDOORS:
- 8-10 weeks before the last frost.
- Cover seed �" with soil.
- Germination is 10-12 days at 68-70�F.
TRANSPLANT:
- Plant outdoors after all danger of frost is past.
- Plant 8-12" apart.
GARDEN HINTS:
Daisy's need full sun. Provide ample moisture in the heat of the summer. It takes about 4 months from germination to blooming, so you may want to get a head start by planting your seeds indoors in flats.USDA Hardiness Zone -First Frost Date- Last Frost Date
