Coreopsis Seeds
Tips on How to Grow Coreopsis Early Sunrise
Zones 4-9
An All American Winner. This is the only coreopsis that will bloom the same year from seed. Blooms in mid-spring to early summer with golden yellow semi-double blooms. Deer resistant. A must have for any perennial border. Height is 24".
SOW OUTDOORS or DIRECT SOW, when all danger of frost is past. Do not cover seed, as need light to germinate. Germination is 10-12 days at 65-75F. Spacing 8-10"apart.
GARDEN HINTS: Coreopsis seeds if sown early in the spring will bloom the first year. Will grow well in relatively poor soil conditions, and will bloom all summer long. This makes a fine bright spot in the garden and an excellent cut flower. Will produce for along time if the weather is not too hot, and the plants will multiply rapidly and live longer if divided every year.
