A must for the butterfly garden! This plant is late to break dormancy, so be patient in the spring.
When to plant outside: Spring, after all danger of frost has passed and up to 8 weeks before the first fall frost.
When to start inside: 6-8 weeks before average last spring frost.
GARDEN HINTS: Will tolerate some drought and little salt and will also grow in dry to moist soils. Prefers well-drained soils with a pH of acidic to slightly alkaline.
