Meet our Professional Gardeners

2B Seeds Co. has created the Ask The Gardener blog in order to have a handy way of giving seasonal gardening tips to our customers. Founders, Dan and Linda Busch, come from a long line of professional gardeners. Starting in 1919 in Golden Valley, MN their family were pioneers in what has evolved into today’s world of hothouse tomatoes and vegetables for the local market. Over the years the Busch family expanded their efforts into the flowering bulbs, fresh cut flowers and bedding plants markets.

Currently, 2B Seeds is one of the finest U.S. resources for vegetable seeds, flower seeds and herb seeds, and because the Busch family wants to support their customers not only while they shop, but also while they plant and care for their gardens, the Ask the Gardener blog exists for any backyard gardener who has a question they’d like to put to a pro. 2B Seeds’ Ask the Gardener blog is here to dispense terrific and inspirational gardening tips and to educate the public about how to grow the best possible garden to please your eye or feed your family. Please, feel free to comment on any of our gardening posts, and let us know if you’ve got a question about germination, planting times, zone requirements, mulching, fertilizing, pruning, harvesting, pest control or pretty much anything that might be going on in your special garden. We’re looking forward to hearing from you!

Additionally, we hope you’ll spend some quality time browsing though our ever-growing inventory of Annual Flower Seeds, Perennial Flower Seeds and Vegetable Seeds.. We’ve got seeds for kids and so much more to bring that extra zing to your garden. And, you can count on the quality of 2B Seeds seeds because they are foil-packed in our Trademarked Seal-n-Sow packaging - this means maximum freshness for you! Jerry,
This will be totally dependent on the size of your container.. if you talking about a plug size container with 72 cells in it, then 1 seed would work just fine, as well as up to a 1 inch container. If your container is over 1 inch, then 2 seeds would be fine. After germination and the plant is about 3-4 inches tall, then you can transplant into another size. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Thanks
    Dan
