Product Description

 Tagetes erecta

|25 Seeds|

Pale and delicate yellow blooms. This latest generation of Inca breeding is more grower and gardener friendly than its predecessor. This semi dwarf plant habit and earlier bloom time (7-10 days) is a welcome to many gardeners. For gardeners, the stronger bloom stems hold the 4" flowers upright, without the risk of their bending at the neck. The flowers are more fully double than before, thus repelling water . 10" spread.  25 Seeds Per Package.

Tips on How to Grow Marigold Seeds

Germination

  • Optimum conditions for seedling development that begins the day the crop is sown until cotyledon expansion.

  • Expect radicle emergence 3 – 20 days.

  • SOW INDOORS 8-10 weeks before last frost. 15-20 days to germinate.

  • Cover  Seeds may be covered with a thin layer of medium vermiculite to maintain moisture levels. Keep at 72-75°F.

  • Light is not necessary for germination. If utilizing a chamber, providing a light source of 10 – 100 foot candles will improve germination Dramatically compared to seed germinated in the dark
  • TRANSPLANT into your outdoor garden after danger of frost. Space outside 8-18" apart. Spacing is variety specific and all information is on our packs.
  • Moisture: Saturated for days 1 – 3 or until radicle emergence. On days 4 – 7 reduce moisture to moist . Once actively growing, begin alternating between moisture levels wet and medium . Allow media to approach dry before re-saturating to level .
Humidity: 40 – 70%
  • Dehumidify: Provide horizontal airflow to aid in drying down the media through evapotranspiration, allowing better penetration of oxygen to the roots.
  • Light: Full sun.
