Product Description
Viola x wittrockiana
| 25 Seeds |
Bolero just wins you over with its big, double, fringed blooms in rich colors, all generously marked with everything from merry faces to subtle shading. Light, airy pastel shades of lilac, pink, yellow and cream with delicate whiskers. Bolero is suited for either the garden or containers, flourishing in beds, borders, patios, and accent plantings. It is a window box mainstay, and does well in mixed container plantings, too. Given full sun and moist, well-drained soil, it will bloom in spring and fall in cool northern climates, and right through winter in the mild south and southwest. They arise all over these compact 10- to 12-inch-tall, 6- to 7-inch-wide plants, blooming equally well in spring and fall!

How To Grow Pansy From Seeds |
Stage 1
A medium covering of coarse grade vermiculite is recommended to help maintain high humidity around the germinating seed for better germination performance. Proper germination takes 3 to 4 days. For optimal germination performance, maintain the plug media at “wet” moisture levels, i.e., the media is glistening, but water will not ooze out from the bottom of the tray and will penetrate only slightly from the top around the fingertip. Avoid germination temperatures above 70°F (21°C) to prevent seedling stretch Stage 2 (first leaves) timing: 10 days
