AQUILEGIA SONGBIRD ROBIN COLUMBINE SEEDS
Product Description
Aquilegia x hybrida
15 Seeds| This stunning rose and white hybrid, growing a 20-28 inches tall with a spread of 18-24 inches, is one of the famous Song Bird Columbines, hybridized by Charles Weddle, one of Americas most respected hybridizers. They were hybridized for their compact gowing habit and large long spurred flowers. The Songbird Series are among the showiest columbines, with an unique feature is the way the flowers face skyward, not nodding like many others varieties. Flowers are attractive to hummingbirds. Removing spent flowers will increase the blooming time. Columbines are relatively short lived, allow some of the plants to go to seed and self sow. Leaf miners or sawfly may disfigure the leaves around flowering time. Simply trim off the ugly foliage and the plants will grow fresh leaves.Columbine love full sun to partial shade, normal soil or sandy is best. Height 14-18 inches, spread 12-18 inches. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies.USDA Zone 3-9.
