How To Grow Angelonia From Seeds

  • Angelonia is a perennial in zones 9-11. Elsewhere it is grown as an annual or in a container to be brought indoors in cold weather.

  • Angelonia should have regular watering for best performance, but established plantings are moderately drought tolerant. Allow the soil to dry out between watering.

  • Light is required for the seed to germination, do not cover or bury seeds. Germination can take 7-19 days with a temperature of 72 to 76ºF.

  • Keep the medium moist until germination, which usually occurs within 2 weeks.

  • Transplant into the garden 8-10 inches apart depending on age of seedlings.
