Akila Lavender Shades African Daisy is covered in stunning lavender daisy flowersThe flowers reach about 2 inches wide, with tightly-spaced petals held straight out on long, wiry stems. A very heat- and drought-tolerant variety,  Akila® is so long-blooming that you may just have to move these plants from the cutting garden to front-and-center in the annual bed!The flowers are excellent for cutting. It's spiny narrow leaves remain green in color throughout the season. The fruit is not ornamentally significant, flowers are wide-open 2-inch daisies from spring through summer on compact, very well-branched plants that are easy to grow and never need pinching. Sunshine and good soil drainage are Daisy White's main requirements, though it also appreciates regular feedings to keep those flowers coming. Grows 10-14 inches high with a 10-12 inch spread. Akila Daisy White is the first F1 hybrid seed-raised. Osteospermum ecklonis with white flowers and yellow disks. Moreover, this new variety flowers earlier and more freely from early spring to late autumn.Great for individual pots, in garden beds and excellent cuts for your vase.  It brings bees and butterflies to the garden, and is an all-around crowd pleaser! If you have grown Osteos before, you will be very surprised indeed by the ruggedness and adaptability of Daisy White. Once established is able to withstand periods of drought quite well.
