Tomato Tom Seeds
For Kids Who Garden,
Hello! I'm Tomato Tom, the jolliest guy in the vegetable garden. Do you like nice, big
slices of tomato on your sandwiches and in your salads? Then I'm the fellow for you. Gardening
kids know that the tomatoes they grow taste so much better than the ones at the grocery store,
and growing tomatoes from seed is a cinch!
Find a sunny spot in your garden. We need lots of sun to grow. Plant tomato seeds about 1/4 of an
inch deep in the ground, once the last danger of frost has passed. Buy or make tomato cages
so that we'll have support to grow on. Get a grownup gardener to help you with the cages. Don't forget
to give us some water every day. We really need that.
In just two months, you'll have enough fantasic red slicing tomatoes to feed your whole family. We
are wonderful in summer pastas, or chopped up in spicy salsa. Just imagine how much you'll enjoy
eating fresh tomatoes from your own garden all summer long!
Your Friend,
Tomato Tom
