Flower Garden-Tips on Growing Sweet Pea From Seeds
Germination: DO NOT COVER SEED; 75-79°F; 5-7 days Finely cut leaves are topped with rich, soft colors . Great in a mass planting and as a cut flower. Zones 3-9.- Planting depth: Surface
- Soil temp for germ.: 60-70°F
- Days to germ.: 7-21
- Plant spacing: 8"-20"
- Days to maturity: 2nd year perennial
- Full sun
- Water less, drought tolerant
- SOW INDOORS
- Sow indoors 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Do not cover seed, as light aids in germination. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost is past, thin to 8-20". Germination period is 7-21 days at 60- 70ºF
- GARDEN HINTS: Full sun, average well drained soil. Can be used for cut flowers or as dried. Use in perennial beds and mass plantings.
