Snapdragon Seeds
How to Grow Snapdragons
SOW INDOORS 8-10 weeks before the last frost. Do not cover seed, as snaps need light to germinate, so just press seed gently into the soil. Germination is 7-14 days.
TRANSPLANT outdoors after danger of frost, 8-12" apart.
GARDEN HINTS: Snapdragons are the backbone of an early summer cutting garden, with their delicious colors. For June blooms sow seeds indoors in flats in February. Plant seedlings out around the time of your last frost. Try to keep seeds in freezer for two days before planting to incourage the germination process. Staking is not required, with this medium plant and Snaps do best in full sun and fairly good soil, but can take partial shade.
