Pumpkin Patrick Seeds
For Kids Who Garden,
Trick-or-treat! I'm Pumpkin Patrick and gardening kids have such fun planting my seeds. Have
you ever gone to a pumpkin patch? Well, it's even better when the pumpkin patch is right
in your own yard or school playground, and you'll be able to pick your jack-o-lantern
pumpkin from a vine you grew yourself.
Find a nice, sunny, bare patch of earth to plant pumpkin seeds in. Plant seeds about 1/2 an inch
deep in the ground when the last danger of frost has passed. Don't forget to give us water.
We need that to grow. Soon our big leaves will be opening as our vines grow longer ever day.
Pumpkin Patrick seeds take 115 days of growing until harvest time.
We're such great carving pumpkins because we grow to be 20 - 30 lbs. That will make the biggest
Jack-o-Lantern you've ever carved. When carving you can save the seeds you scoop out, rinse
them, salt them and roast them for a delicious snack. You could save a few seeds to plant next
year, too. Pumpkins are easy to grow and make autumn fun for gardening kids.
Your Friend,
Pumpkin Patrick
