Nicotiana SeedsThese are tender perennials from South America. Most are grown as annuals, but may live over in mild-winter areas. Both foliage and stems are slightly sticky. Flowers are very fragrant and tubular, flaring at the mouth into five pointed lobes.
How to Grow NicotianaSOW INDOORS 6-8 weeks before last frost. 14-20 days to germinate. Do Not cover seed, as light aides in germination.TRANSPLANT into a larger container 4-5 weeks after sowing, then transplant outdoors after danger of frost. Space outside 8-12" apart. GARDEN HINTS: Likes full sun, but perfers partial shade. Give rich soil, regular water and full sun in cooler climates. Needs shade in warmer regions.
