Flower Garden – Tips on Growing Cosmos From Seeds

Cosmos plants prefer full sun to partial shade. They will do well in both average and poor soils. They are tolerant dry soil conditions. Add a general purpose fertilizer once or twice a season. Cosmos are vigorous, drought tolerant plants that are grown in borders and large pots. Cosmos reseeds themselves easily, making it a nice addition to wildflower or naturalized areas. Cosmos thrives on neglect after established. Taller plants may require staking. However, this can be avoided if planted in an area protected from the wind.
