Celosia Seeds
Richly colored tropical plant, commonly called Cockscomb, most effective in the
garden by itself. Cut blossoms can be dried for winter bouquets. Sow seed in
place in late spring or early summer. Flowers come in brilliant shades of pink,
orange, red, gold, and crimson. The plants grow to a height of 20" to 26".
Moderate water.
How to Grow Celosia
SOW INDOORS 6-8 weeks before last frost. 7-10 days to germinate. Do Not cover seed, as light aides in germination.
TRANSPLANT Outdoors after danger of frost, spacing 5-8" apart.
OR DIRECT SOW After all danger of frost is over.
GARDEN HINTS: Celosia are sensitive to cold temperatures and cold water. They
like full sun and moist, fertile soil.
Best used for borders, containers or fresh or dried cut flowers.
