48-52 Days to Harvest GROWING CONDITIONS: For the best beet quality, grow in cool weather, plant them in sandy or loosely worked soil. Supply ample moisture. GARDEN HINTS: Beets do not need rich soil. Water the beets well in dry weather conditions to keep them tender. However-first rate crops grow quickly in light or loamy soils with a pH over 6.0. In general cool temperatures produce the best flesh color.
